Don't use the $120 DMI that the rotor bolts solid to. It will dish the cook ti $$$ rotor in a heartbeat if you overheat it.
Use the DMI clamping floater like it sounds like you were already leaning towards.
That's why even the factory wilwood cook setup went to a slotted mount. To at least give a non-vaned flat ti rotor a fighting chance...

I'm switching over to the 3/8 Ben Cook Ti inboard rotor this winter and just was looking for some pointers on what the best mount is to use with them. I have a couple of the $120 DMI floating mounts but would invest in the $200 Clamping floater if it's a better set up. Any info or experience will help. Thanks.

Ive been using the Ben Cook Ti inboard for several seasons now and a winters floating style clamp, , granted, i dont race a full season as some do ,but, i was unhappy with several of my brake combinations until i switched to the Ti rotor,1" M/C, and Krietz calipurs At first i used the (clamp style) mount and i wasnt happy with the alighnment, i just couldnt get it where i thought it should be, check and recheck your inboard calipur bolts or purchase the lock kit ,i didnt like the sruggle to remove it,and reassemble , I was just fed up with the one I had, I have used two Cook rotors simply because one got crashed out, the floating mounts i have are sloppy (well used) and proubly not the right thing to use, but in honestly i havent had any trouble with it , the only trouble i experianced is fade after heavy heavy use, i do use Red Devil fuild, im not sure mine is the best combination for cooling but for moderate to light use its great, Ive only experianced the fade when its been nessessary to run the brakes that hard to move forward , anyway, no significant troubles here, either is your hands.
