Former Chico Track Photographer Art Spaulding has passed. For each and every one of the 10 Gold Cups I covered at his track (where he was the track photog) he was more than just a buddy and couldn't help me more with anything I ever needed including even filling in at the booth on occasion. Art was a character to say the least and forever a story teller, Lord he could tell a whopper now and then and it was all in good fun. I will miss you ol' friend, condolences to his family. I also lost my Mother-In-Law yesterday as well and she was the best! Thoughts of my wife and her family in KC as I type this....

Got this news by text the other night and very sorry to hear it. Art was truely one of a kind. Rest in peace Art.
