Can someone tell me why I need to read 2 pages of opinions about why none of us should have an opinion.

The only thing worse than this tragedy are the reporters using it to elevate their status.  Their first reaction is to criticize those who are posting on social media but your average racing fan has nothing to gain and nothing to lose by stating their opinion.  The "media" feels compelled to elevate themselves so as to stand out as more informed but when the facade stripped away they're nothing more than another person with an opinion.

StanM---I couldn't have said it any better myself.  I feel exactly the same way.  I will go even further--some of the folks that I have heard comment on National Media, don't know the first thing about racing.  I feel most on this forum know more than 90% of those spouting their opinions on national sports media!

The title media simply means that a person has gotten some training on spelling, punctuation, grammar, and how to formulate their thoughts and present them to others.  It does not guarantee that those thoughts are any more valid than anyone else's.  ;)

And that fact has obviously been proven many times over, no matter who you are listening too, about this tragedy. Absolutely pathetic reporting.  If I was that inept at my job, I'd be fired. I've never sat in one of these cars, but I have hung out with drivers, talked with crew men, and watched these cars for many, many years, and I could relate how they work better than any of these so called professional reporters.  Bunch of GOOMBA'S.....
