"CALIFORNIA RACERS HALL OF FAME NIGHT" SATURDAY AT THE PAS
The USAC/CRA Sprint Car series resumes action this Saturday night at Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway after a month-long hiatus.
Two-time defending series champion Damion Gardner sits atop the 2014 standings, 111-ahead of five-time champion Mike Spencer. Gardner's four Perris wins this season have extended his all-time Perris victory lead over Spencer to five (30-25).
Only Richard Vander Weerd and Matt Mitchell, who has spurted to the lead in USAC's West Coast Sprint series, have upset Gardner at the PAS in 2014.
Saturday night's race is "California Racers Hall of Fame Night," saluting the Golden State's rich racing history.
