Jeremy, are you open to suggestions for future articles?  If so, while cutting my grass last night one gets to thinking about every little thing - while it may be too late in the case of Danny Dietrich and team, I thought it would be really cool to read an article that details, from the driver or crew perspective, all the things that go on when a team prepares and embarks on an adventure like the Ohio or Pa Speedweeks.

Maybe ask one of the crew guys to keep a little notebook and jot down all the things they do, like "0800 Friday, hit the PA Turnpike for Ohio", or "midnight Friday, leaving Attica pits for hotel".  Just stuff like that.  I know how hard these guys work, and can only imagine how little sleep they get, how much time is spent working on the car in some hotel parking lot, etc. I think that would make for a great article.

I'd also be curious what a team like Danny's did to prepare for the trip, i.e., what they bring with them to survive the Speedweek schedule.

Thanks.

That would be a good read. I've always been interested in the logistics of running these teams up & down the road, especially during something like Speedweek.

Funny you say that, I'm looking at a way to do a diary with a team. Maybe for the week of the nationals and/or a World of Outlaws team for three weeks or through the Month of Money. I'm kicking around a bunch of ideas along that line.

I appreciate the feedback. I'm always looking at ideas for stories and for the podcast we do. Thank you, again.
