CRA GEARS UP FOR OCEAN, PETALUMA JUNE 27-28;
MITCHELL GRABS PERRIS 30-LAPPER
The AMSOIL USC/CRA Sprint car series resume June 27-28 with races at Ocean Speedway in Watsonville, Calif. and Petaluma (Calif.) Speedway. Damion Gardner, despite a seventh place finish last Saturday night at Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway, continues to lead the standings with a 93-point lead over Nic Faas.
Matt Mitchell of Yorba Linda, Calif. paced all 30 laps of Saturday night's race at Perris, Richard Vander Weerd was second ahead of Austin Williams, Cody Williams and Mike Spencer. Gardner was the fastest qualifier.
Mitchell piloted the MPD Racing/ART Enterprises Maxim/Chrisco to the win, his first of the season.
