Schuchart lost power coming for the checkers completing his first lap.  Mark Kinser still holds the record of 13.571 seconds set in 2000.

Heat one (started): 1. K. Madsen (2) 2. Brown (1) 3. McMahan (4) 4. Swindell (3) 5. Nienhiser (5) 6. S. Kinser (6) / 7. Saville (9) 8. Martin (10) 9. Crockett (7) 10. Sides (8)

The heats went 8 laps and took the top six to the feature.  Brown got on it and K. Madsen laid off stacking up Sides and S. Kinser behind him. Sides jumped S. Kinser’s right rear which flattened. Both restarted, but Sides would exit on lap six with nose wing issues.  K Madsen and Brown battled for the lead throughout.  S. Kinser came on late, using the caution for Sides and a Crockett flat right rear on the last lap to get by Saville for the final transfer.

Heat two (started): 1. Dollansky (1) 2. Saldana (4) 3. Darrah (2) 4. Boston (3) 5. Gravel (6) 6. Sweet (5) / 7. W. Johnson (8) 8. Brahmer (9) 9. Allen (10) 10. Alley (7)

Alley ducked out early and scratched for the night.  W. Johnson shot to fifth at the drop of the green, but Gravel and Sweet worked back by for the transfers.  Dollansky led flag to flag.

Heat three (started): 1. McCarl (2) 2. Schatz (4) 3. Pittman (3) 4. I. Madsen (6) 5. Lasoski (1) 6. K. Kinser (7) / 7. Selvage (8) 8. RJ Johnson (5) 9. Ingle (9) DNS – Schuchart

McCarl led the distance.  Schatz reeled him in early, but couldn’t make the pass for the win.

B main (started): 1. W. Johnson (3) 2. Brahmer (6) 3. Selvage (4) 4. Sides (2) 5. RJ Johnson (1) 6. Allen (9) / 7. Ingle (7) 8. Saville (5) 9. Martin (8) DNS – Crockett, Alley, Schuchart

Martin and Saville made contact at the drop of the green, ending both their nights.  W. Johnson led throughout.  Brahmer was impressive on the cushion to grab second.  Selvage passed Sides in the last corner for third.

Dash (started): 1. Schatz (2) 2. Saldana (3) 3. K. Madsen (6) 4. McMahan (4) 5. Swindell (1) 6. McCarl (7) 7. Dollansky (8) 8. Boston (5)

With a lap in the books, Boston crashed hard in turns one and two.  He was o.k., but done for the night.  Schatz held off Swindell early and Saldana late to lead the six lap distance.

A main (started): 1. Saldana (2) 2. Schatz (1) 3. McMahan (4) 4. K. Madsen (3) 5. Swindell (5) 6. Pittman (8) 7. I. Madsen (16) 8. Sweet (13) 9. Darrah (9) 10. McCarl (6) 11. Brown (10) 12. Gravel (15) 13. Sides (18) 14. S. Kinser (14) 15. K. Kinser (17) 16. Selvage (20) 17. Brahmer (21) 18. Lasoski (11) 19. W. Johnson (19) 20. Dollansky (7) 21. RJ Johnson (22) 22. Allen (23) 23. Schuchart (24, pr.) 24. Nienhiser (12) DNS – Boston

Before a lap could be completed in the 30-lapper, Nienhiser spun and retired.  The restart saw Saldana get the jump on Schatz and McMahan.  Great racing for second between Schatz and McMahan, who grabbed the spot before a caution for a slowing Allen 8 laps in.  Saldana chose the inside line in the double-file restart ahead of McMahan, Schatz, K. Madsen, McCarl and Pittman. Great racing through the field as Schatz took second on lap ten, and McMahan took it back on lap 16.  Both were right there with Saldana in traffic.  Schatz took second for good on lap 20 as McMahan got hung up in lapped traffic.  Saldana managed to stay out front for his fourth win of the season.  K. Madsen made a late bid for third. I. Madsen was the hard-charger, moving up nine spots. Most of those were gained on the lap 8 restart.  The house was packed and the WoO’s return was a big success with good racing and a good crowd.
