if mother nature up it should be a good race. it is a warrior region race. they had 20 cars last week just on a normal weekly show so should be more this weekend. Gates open early for tailgating. grandstands are $15  pits $30

I understand that the track wanted to do some special things for this race, and this race weekend.   However, the overall performance of the track was dismal.  It was posted that Hot laps at 7:00 with racing to follow.   First heat race did not see the track till 8:30.  To make up for being so late on the start, they decided to have a 40 minute intermission.   I was hopeful that since they were so late in the show that they would have the sprints go first in order to let the fans who traveled a chance to go home.   Nope,  sprints were the last ones on the track.

The track did well with this race because it was almost completely sold out.   However, I am one fan that will not be back for a while to this track.  I hope they understand that in order to keep the fans coming back that thier performance on the track has to improve.

That's the problem with most tracks in this country.

I sense that you are not in attendance weekly at XX. The show running as late as it did is a rarity. It being the Hockett Memorial had everything to do with that. Also, as they had the Memorial Day holiday the next day, they may have felt that rushing the show wasn't as necessary as usual. A weekly Sunday night show, racing is almost ALWAYS done by 10:30 if not earlier, in consideration of those who have to be up for work early in the morning. Give the weekly show a chance and you may change your mind.
