Last time I went to Calistoga I lived in Fresno. I now live in between Willows and Chico. Just curious on everyone's thoughts on the best way to get there? I appreciate the help.

505 to 80 then take napa 12 exit... i take the silverado trail from there

Yeah do the 505 or go the way that takes you over the Mountains and drops you down into Calistoga. That's the way most go from Chico. I don't know exactly how to explain it though lol. So the 505 is probably easier.

Unless you have an issue with roads that are far from straight it's 5 south to 20 west then hang a left right before you get to Clearlake. It's a beautiful drive and one that I look forward to when going alone. My daughter gets car sick so we go the other way when she is with us.

Well I came 505-80-29. Getting through St. Helena was hell. Going home 29 north to Clearlake and over. Thanks for the help.

29 through Napa Valley is a fucking nightmare. Avoid it at all cost. Silverado Trail would have saved you a lot of aggravation. Your drive home will be much more pleasant.
