Not necessarily sprint car related, but interesting still. USAC is now the sanctioning body for the Global RallyCross series. For those unfamiliar with rallycross and rally cars, they are production based cars (much more of a "stock car" than NASCAR ever thought about being) with 600 HP that race on multiple surfaces (dirt, asphalt, snow, etc). They're fun cars to watch and have exciting races. Last year, USAC had a promotional partnership of sorts (and they still may) with Rally America, which is the top series for "stage" rallying where they take rally cars and turn them loose in the woods for a time trial type of racing.

Well USAC has managed to unfuriate and alienate a lot of people in American open wheel racing so they might as well move on to do the same for others.

I agree...move them out of trainwrecking openwheel and let them screw up something that I have no interest in!
