Monday, December 04, 2006 (Loves Park, IL) – Auction officials are now gearing up for the first ever Midwest Motorsports Racers' Auction in Minnesota. It's not too late for area racers to sign up and get those precious "prime-time" selling spots to sell their cars, parts, trailers and other race items.
The Midwest Motorsports Minnesota Racers' Auction will take place on Saturday, December 16th, starting at 9 a.m. Interested consignors are encouraged to review the “How to Sell” section of the official website at www.racersauctionnews.com. Reservation forms are available online or you can either call the auction hotline at (815) 316-7841 or send an e-mail to [email protected].
Consignors are encouraged to register early as walk-ups may be limited to a certain number of lots (depending on space available) or to early or late selling times.
The event will take place at the Mayo Civic Center's Taylor Arena, located at 30 Civic Center Drive S.E., in Rochester, MN (www.mayociviccenter.com). Auction officials will accept consignment items on Friday, December 15th from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The event will open at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, with the sale starting at 9 a.m. Bidders are encouraged to arrive early to register for your free bidder card (with valid i.d.).
This is the 25th year that Midwest Motorsports has hosted Racers' Auctions and it is proud to bring it to Minnesota for the first time. In addition to the auction sale, there is a racing trade show, featuring several different regional businesses in the motorsports field. The Illinois Racers' Auction will take place Friday & Saturday, January 5-6, 2007 at the Sportscore Indoor Sports Center in Rockford, IL. The Michigan Racer’s Auction will once again be at the Kalamazoo County Fairgrounds Hazel Gray Building on Saturday, January 13, 2007.
