I seemed to have accumulated alot of these critters,  none are cracked, just snouts loose or spinning, i dont trust using them so they end up in a pile under my shelves untill i find them some day during a spring cleanup,  clearly I wrote "bad" on all of them. anybody have a good remidee for these things other than throwing the P.O.S out?  if repairable are they worthy of putting the dough back into ? not sure why I hold on to them.. pretty sure the Ratrod guys would love them?  any ideas, or testimonies?  thanks..

You can remove the snouts, have them knurled, heat and pressed back in the spindle.

intresting,  I happen to have a old old old  anchient lathe (4 jaw)  I picked up for a song and dance, I havent found a real good use for it just yet, it does take up a nice corner in the shop tho, lol,   I am by no means a machinest, but, im pretty crafty, I was assuming the Aluminum portion had expanded,  youve had alot of success with this treatment?
