Schatz and Kahne Headline Front Row Challenge!
(Bill W) July 31, 2007 – Donny Schatz has won about everything there is to win in sprint car racing, but he hasn't added the Musco Lighting Front Row Challenge to his resume just yet. That may change this Monday, as he is expected to compete in the $50,000 to win from the back event at the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa!
Schatz has already won the Knoxville Nationals at the Knoxville (IA) Raceway, the King's Royal at Eldora Speedway in Ohio, the Gold Cup Race of Champions at the Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, California, the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup at Lernerville (PA) Speedway and the Williams Grove (PA) Open. He is the defending World of Outlaws champion and is leading those standings again in 2007.
Nextel Cup star Kasey Kahne is expected to compete again this year, as well. The popular ex-open wheel ace finished fourth in last year's event. Several World of Outlaws competitors are expected, as are a number of others who are competing for the Southern Iowa Speedweek title that the "FRC" is a part of. "The Mouse" Kenny Jacobs scored one for the state of Ohio, besting Danny Lasoski and Craig Dollansky in the 2006 event.
Entertainment, as well as great giveaways both for the fans and drivers is always a staple of the Front Row Challenge! America's most popular chassis manufacturers will also be a part of the event! The four heat race winners will receive a chassis from Eagle, J&J, JEI or Schnee! This unprecedented heat race prize has a retail value around $3,000! For Brian Schnee, the chassis that will be a part of the Front Row Challenge is special. It will be the 1000th ever produced by the South Dakota builder! In addition, to the chassis kits, other components will be handed out by Vortex Wings, All-Pro Heads, Weld Wheels, Hoosier, KSE Power Steering Pumps and Astro Titanium!
The race format is popular as well, and as always, the survivor of the King of the Hill Races will be given the option to start at the tail of the main event. If they can come through and are victorious, they will have a $50,000 check waiting for them! "The Wild Child" Jac Haudenschild did just that in 1999 and he, as well as many more of the best in the business are expected to attempt a duplication of that effort!
The chassis giveaway and other prizes are just a few of the reasons to check out the $50,000 to win from the back Musco Lighting Front Row Challenge! Tickets still remain! Don't miss it!
