Wow...be prepared to pay some high rates for hotels during the Woo visit to Vegas in 2014. Went last year and paid roughly $80 a night and in 2014 it is $300 a night to stay on the strip. The Woo races are the same week as Con-Expo which is one of the worlds largest construction conferences which brings in thousands of business travelers during the middle of the week when the races are scheduled. Guess we will be skipping Vegas in 2014. Everyone else better get their reservations early.

On a number of occasions I stayed out at Stateline at Whiskey Pete's Casino,  Yes, it makes for about one hour of driving time each way but I avoided the crowds on the strip, had a nice room and the rates are great!
