PEORIA, AZ – OCTOBER 27, 2013... Racing past Dave Darland on lap twenty-three, Bryan Clauson of Noblesville, Indiana claimed the opening night feature of the “13th Annual Hose Advantage Store Hall of Fame Classic.” Co-sanctioned with the USAC National Series, the 30-lap victory at Canyon Speedway Park was Clauson’s eighth career Amsoil USAC/CRA Sprint Car triumph. Tracy Hines, Mike Spencer, Kevin Thomas Jr., and “The Demon” Damion Gardner rounded out the top-five drivers.

Driving the Tony Stewart Racing / Curb-Agajanian owned #20 Chevy Performance Beast, Bryan Clauson earned his third Woodland Auto Display Fast Time Award by out-qualifying the thirty car field. Finishing second to Robert Ballou in his heat race, the USAC National point leader claimed his third USAC/CRA feature of 2013 from sixth.

New Castle, Indiana’s Tracy Hines ran second in the Canyon main event after starting seventh. Piloting his #4 Carolina Nut Company / Hansen’s Welding DRC, the veteran driver was seventh quick in time trials and placed third in his 8-lap heat race.

Mike Spencer of Temecula, California ran third in the Friday night preliminary and was the highest finishing driver from the “Golden State.” Racing Ron Chaffin’s #50 Grubstake Mini Storage / Madera Produce Maxim, the five-time USAC/CRA Champion qualified fifth and scored fourth in his heat race.

Cullman, Alabama’s Kevin Thomas Jr. earned his first Keizer Wheels / Racing Optics “Hard Charger / Best Passing Job” honors with a fourth place run from twentieth. Driving the Dutcher / Rotondo Weirich / Tri-Star Motorsports’ #17RW Maxim, Thomas timed in twenty-seventh fast, ran seventh in his heat race, and took second in the semi-main.

“The Demon” Damion Gardner of Concord, California raced to fifth in the main event after starting thirteenth. Piloting Mark Alexander’s #4A Scott Sales Company / Advanced Racing Suspension Spike, the USAC/CRA point leader qualified fourteenth and won the 8-lap DJ Safety Heat Race #2.

Rocklin, California’s “The Madman” Robert Ballou won the program’s first heat race, sponsored by Extreme Mufflers. Racing his #12 Indy Race Parts / Maxim Chassis machine, Ballou was seventeenth quick in time trials and scored eighth in main event after starting sixteenth.

“The People’s Champion” Dave Darland of Lincoln, Indiana won the Saldana Racing Products / Circle Track Performance Heat Race #3. Driving the Phillips Motorsports’ #71P Racers Advantage Store / Jockish Flowers DRC, Darland qualified third and took over the feature lead on lap twenty-one after Brady Bacon spun in the fourth turn. Briefly holding the lead, the veteran driver had to settle for sixth at the checkered flags.

Elizabethtown, Indiana’s Chase Stockon won the night’s Weld Racing / SBI Fuel Systems Heat Race #4. Racing the 32-TBI Racing #32 Superior Tank & Trailer DRC, Stockon was eighth fast in time trials and placed fourteenth in the main event.

Making his first start in Keith Ford’s #73 Berry Pack / King Racing Products Spike, Jon Stanbrough of Avon, Indiana won the 12-lap Competition Suspension Inc. / Rod End Supply Semi-Main.
