“2ND ANNUAL BRAWL FOR IT ALL” AT CANYON SPEEDWAY PARK SATURDAY

PEORIA, AZ – SEPTEMBER 24, 2013... This Saturday, September 28th, Kevin Montgomery's Canyon Speedway Park will host the “2nd Annual Brawl For It All.” Featuring the USAC SouthWest and USAC West Coast Sprint Cars, the second round of the “Grudge Series" will pay $2,500-to-win and will showcase a talented roster of drivers from Arizona, California, and New Mexico. The LoanMart Challenge Cup Sprints, Mini Sprints, and AMA Modlites will also share the spotlight. The Front Gates will open at 5:00pm, then Time Trials with Racing scheduled to begin at 7:00pm.

After winning the September 14th feature at Casa Grande from fourteenth, R.J. Johnson of Phoenix has a 79 point advantage over the competition. Piloting the Bill Michaels’ owned #77M Kodiak Products / Beal’s Auto Body Sherman, Johnson is currently second in the “Grudge Series” point chase. To date, the USAC/CRA “Copper on Dirt” winner has nine feature wins, eight Racers Advantage Heat Race victories, five Sunoco Fuels Passing Masters Dash wins, two hard charger awards, eighteen top-10 finishes, and 266 feature laps led to his credit. R.J. will be looking to take home the $2,500 paycheck and extend his point lead.

Buckeye’s “Chargin” Charles Davis Jr. is second in the USAC SouthWest point chase. Racing the Massey Motorsports’ #50 RSS Industries / Rod End Supply RSS, Davis claimed second in the Casa Grande main event. Running sixth in the “Grudge Series” points, the five-time Arizona Sprint Car Champion has six feature wins, nine Racers Advantage Heat Race victories, three Sunoco Fuels Passing Masters Dash wins, two semi-main wins, three hard charger awards, twenty-two top-10 finishes, and 107 feature laps led. On Saturday, “Chargin” Charles will have his sights on his second “Brawl For It All” victory.

“The Magic Man” Mike Martin of Yuma is third in the point standings. Driving his #16 PPG Pittsburg Paints / Ultimate Offroad Maxim, Martin scored fifth at Central Arizona Raceway on September 14th. Canyon Speedway Park’s 1-lap record holder for USAC 360s is tenth in the “Grudge Series” and has one feature win, one fast time award, seven Racers Advantage Heat Race victories, seventeen top-10 finishes, and 24 feature laps led. “The Magic Man” will be among the favorites to watch at Canyon’s “The Brawl For It All.”

Phoenix’s Shon Deskins is fourth in the championship points. Piloting his #20 Performance Plus / Ellis Race Cars entry, Deskins raced to third at Casa Grande after starting twelfth. Currently fifth in “Grudge Series” points, the veteran driver has yet to win a USAC SouthWest feature, but has eight Racers Advantage Heat Race victories, one semi-main win, one hard charger award, thirteen top-10 finishes, and eight feature laps led. Shon will be looking to claim the $2,500 main event at Canyon Speedway Park.

Ronnie Clark of Tucson sits fifth in the USAC SouthWest point chase. Driving the family owned #6 RCM / Ellis Race Cars machine, Clark placed ninth at Casa Grande after starting thirteenth. Ronnie did not compete in the “Grudge Series” opener at Las Vegas and has yet to claim a main event win in 2013. The veteran driver has two Racers Advantage Heat Race victories and thirteen top-10 finishes on the season. Ronnie will have his sights on adding the $2,500 “Brawl For It All” main event to his win list.

Among the other drivers expected to be in action are Andy Reinbold, Josh Pelkey, Chris Bonneau, Brian Hosford, “The Radio Flyer” Bruce St. James, Mike Bonneau, Bryan Swinehart, Stevie Sussex, James Aragon, Tom Ogle, Justin Quinn, Jody Wirth, “The Bullet” Bob Ream Jr. Michael Curtis, “The Real Deal” Rick Ziehl, Colby Copeland, and more.

“Hollywood” Danny Faria Jr. leads the USAC West Coast point standings. Richard Vander Weerd, Bud Kaeding, Ryan Bernal, “The Bakersfield Bullet” Rusty Carlile, Markus Niemela, Jace Vander Weerd, Austin Liggett, Landon Hurst, and Kevin Barnes round out the top-10 drivers. Five-time USAC/CRA Champion Mike Spencer is expected to race at Canyon Speedway Park.

Canyon Speedway Park is located at 9777 West Carefree Highway in Peoria, Arizona. To get to the track, take Lake Pleasant Parkway, then 1.3 miles west on Carefree Highway. Adult Tickets are $15 with $2 discounts available for Seniors, Military, and Students. Kids Tickets (7-12) are $6 and Children (6 and under) are FREE.
