So he says he burned a piston in hot laps drove to Mississippi River area overnight to get a 410 to support all those that help support the Robert Bell Tirew Fund. What a man!!!! Lets continue to support his fund. Thanks to Tanner Krysl from Fort Worth Texas in getting this started .

If I may ask. I do not know the story behind Robert Bell. Can someone give me a little back ground on him. I take it that he is a low budget racer at the nationals, but that is all I know.

Those new tires are getting too much traction... His equipment can't handle the extra torque! :-)

An old story that I used to hear told about Robert and I have no knowledge of its truth but it sure speaks to his loveable nature is:
Robert had some issue years back that required being towed to a repair shop of some kind. The story goes that the work that was being done was a few hundred bucks and there was some back and forth regarding the bill. Robert left and came back with a plate of cookies that his mama had made fresh for the repair guys as payment in full.
Again no idea if this was a true story or even remotely accurate but I'd heard it a few times
"It took over three thousand bolts to put this here
school bus together, but it only takes one nut to
scatter them all over the highway."

He's a low low low low budget racer. So low he might not even have a budget.
Brings back memories of the past when guys raced with stuff they could find used for little or no money. Now everyone gets new off the shelf parts anytime they tear up the car.
In general he's just a guy out there racing for fun and not spending $100k/year to race at a weekly track.
