So, if one of the guys who are running the Speed Sport World Challenge tonight, that is not locked into the A on Saturday, can finish in the top 3 tonight in the Challenge, they will get the 25th starting spot for the A main Saturday night.

So, if you are like 80 % of the cars at Knoxville, and can't travel halfway around the world, you are not eligible for this provisional spot. I think this is a bad idea. Every single car should have the exact same oppertunity to make the A main.

It's not even by points, they have done nothing to earn this spot but spend thousands to travel halfway around the world.

I just don't like it. Can we add a provisional for the car that makes the longest tow within the US that doesnt make the A? Maybe the biggest rig? How about smallest rig? How about first single car team that doesnt make it?

I would agree with that. If Tatnell or someone not locked in wins, he should not be rewarded with Saturday night A-main starting position. This is total BS. That is why they are running a complete show tonight. All the WC race does is allows Knoxville to give out a provisional. This is the only thing I don't like about the nationals. Just make the WC a money race only or get rid of it so no one tears anything up.
