Steven Russell, son of veteran driver and sprint car builder Jerry Russell claimed his first career sprint car win Friday night at Jacksonville Speedway in his first night of competition in the Neal Tire and Auto 305 Sprint Car division.
We are sure we will hear a lot more from Steven as years progress, but his driving opportunities become limited shortly as he prepares for his high school football season.
Congrats also to a proud papa, Jerry who has been an invaluable sounding board as we worked to put together an affordable, sensible, but still very entertaining 305 class here at Jacksonville.
