World of Outlaws 2002

I will be starting a career and giving race-by-race results and other things involving the career of #21 Sprint Car driver Dave Brown. But first, a little background of Dave Brown.

Brown was born in 1994 and is the son to former Sprint Car legend Mike Brown. Mike ran with Outlaws from 1980-1988 and also won a Knoxville National race. In 1989, Mike left the World of Outlaws and moved to Bedford, PA (located in south central PA) in pursue to be a car owner. As an owner, Mike has won 3 points titles at Williams Grove and 5 at Lernerville including 8 top 10 finishes at the Knoxville Nationals. Dave Brown has racing in his blood. At the age of 7 he started racing karts on nearby tracks and worked his way up through micro-sprints and quarter-midgets. In 2010, as a 17-year old, Dave Brown placed 3rd in the Chili Bowl Midget Race. From 2010-2013, Dave Brown was a regular 358 sprint car driver at Williams Grove and Lincoln also competing in various URC events in the region. In 2013, Dave Brown wants to take it to another level and take his talents to the next level in the #21 410 Sprint Car owned by his father.

This thread will take you on a journey of the career of 19-year old Dave Brown.

Week 1: Lernerville Speedway (Local Series)

Dave Brown and the rest of the Brown Racing Team heads west to Lernerville Speedway to compete in the first Local Series race of the year. Brown is familiar here and should be in the A-Main.

Qualifying: 15.35 - 5th Place

Heat 1: 2nd Place

Dash: 2nd Place

A-Main: 2nd

Dave Brown lead the first two laps of the A-Main but Andrew Prazny quickly stole the show and ran away with the lead. The second-place finish was good enough for $1,000.

Total Earnings: $1,000

Current Funds: $1,000

Week 3: Williams Grove Speedway (WoO Support Series)

Dave Brown is no stranger to Williams Grove Speedway as he has completed well over 1,000 laps in his career there. Brown may find himself in the B-Main and possibly not qualifying for the A-Main in an extremely competetive WoO Support Series.

Qualifying: 16.77 - 12th Place

Heat 2: 4th Place

Dash: 9th Place

A-Main: 12th Place

A good performance by the young racer. With this 12th place finish in the second-to-best sprint car circuit, he proved that he is no joke and the real deal. A big jackpot was the icing on the cake at $2,400.

Total Earnings: $3,000

Current Funds: $3,400

Week 3: Lernerville Speedway (WoO Support Series)

After finishing 12th in the previous WoO Support Series race at Williams Grove, Dave Brown hopes to crack the top 10 at one of his favorite tracks, Lernerville.

Qualifying: 15.15- 19th Place

Heat 1: 9th Place

B-Main: 4th Place

A-Main: 15th Place

At least the Brown Racing team placed in the A-Main. The car was not handling as good as it did during previous events. Another $2,400 winning is something to be proud of.

Total Earnings: $5,800

Current Funds: $5,800

Week 8: Williams Grove Speedway (Regional Series)

In his Regional Series debut, Dave Brown looks for a top 5 A-Main in tonight's race. He is very familiar with this track and is as good as anyone that races here.

Qualifying: 16.85- 6th Place

Heat 2: 1st Place ($250 Bonus)

Dash: 5th Place

A-Main: 4th Place

Throughout the A-Main, Dave Brown found himself in every position from 1-8. He found the median and finished in 4th place moving up just one spot from his original starting position. Dave Brown and the rest of Brown Racing Team earned $2,300 in the event.

Total Earnings: $8,350

Current Funds: $8,350
