CASA GRANDE ON TAP FOR SOUTHWEST SPRINTS
The battle for supremacy in terms of USAC feature wins in the state of Arizona continues this Saturday as the USAC Southwest Sprint Cars return to Central Arizona Speedway in Casa Grande.
Charles Davis Jr. of Buckeye, Ariz., the winner at Casa Grande in March, is one of five drivers with eight career Arizona USAC wins. The others are A.J. Foyt, Dave Steele, Bryan Clauson and Damion Gardner.
Closely in pursuit is series point leader R.J. Johnson, who has seven career Arizona wins and has a 63-point lead over Davis in the latest standings. Mike Martin ranks third in the latest series points.
