This Thursday Jacksonville Speedway will host the opening night of the first ever POWRi Speed Week with Lucas Oil POWRi National Midgets, Speedway Motors Outlaw Micros and Neal Tire (305) Sprints. A huge field of Midgets is expected to be on hand with an extremely talented field including several international drivers. The first camper has already arrived in the parking lot from Indiana in anticipation of this big event.
Order of events: Micros, Midgets, Sprints
Pit gates open at 3:00, Grandstands at 5:00. Hot laps at 6:00 with racing to immediately follow at roughly 6:45 with the Micros. The first midget heat should be at roughly 7:15-7:30.
Grandstand admission $18. Children 12 and under Free.

I'll be heading that way right after work on Thursday. Illinois Midget week has been one of my most anticipated stops for the 2013 season,and I'm glad its finally here!

Justin Allgaier will be driving the Ebby Bergfield Brandt Midget Thursday at Jacksonville. Great to have Justin back in the house again.
