Knoxville, IA – Winning is almost always its own reward, but for J Kinder, a win this week at Knoxville Raceway was worth so much more than the glory and big payday: it was validation of a long offseason spent working on getting faster. With a lap three pass of Bob Hildreth, Kinder took early control of the 305 feature in his Midwest Speed Shop, Marquis Okley Engine powered Triple X and hid from the field on his way to victory lane. "We spent this whole offseason looking at new things to try on the car. We're really really good at the end of the night, just need to figure out this d*** qualifying thing and we'd have this place (Knoxville) figured out" said J. "With qualifying what it is there, we have to depend on the dice roll to put us in a good spot for the feature, but we have the fastest car at the main and are one of the few teams who get stronger as the night goes on. We may miss out on some championship points by not timing in well, but I'll take race win trophies over season champ trophies any day!" J credits his engine and chassis package along with his AFCO shocks tuned by Midwest Speed Shop on his win this past weekend, where following his heat race win, he came from outside row two to take the lead on lap three in the feature. J is the owner/operator of Midwest Speed Shop, which is your local area dealer for AFCO Shocks as well as many other fine brands such as Triple X and American Racer. Their newly designed website will be up and running soon at www.kinderracing.com .
