we are skipping the nationals this year and going to the world finals instead. where do most people stay? is concord where all the hotels are located or is there better places in other close towns? also what goes on during the day? do they always have stuff going on like the nationals?

I stay on the outskirts of Charlotte, but there are hotels closer to the track.

There are alot more non-racing things to do in Charlotte, not that you'll have a ton of time. The racing sometimes starts as early as 5, and by the time you check out the pits and buy your t-shirts etc... it doesn't leave you with a lot of downtime.

It's a phenomenal show, the track has gotten alot better the last couple of years and all 3 divisions put on a great show. Last year's sprint feature on Friday was maybe the best race I saw all year.
