ADCO Driveline to sponsor $100 weekly fast time at Placerville

PLACERVILLE, CA – Handy Racing Promotions and PlacervilleSpeedway are excited to announce that the weekly fast qualifier of the 360 sprint car division will now be awarded a $100 bonus during the 2013 championship racing season at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds.
This bonus for the fastestdriver each week is possible due a new sponsorship courtesy of ADCO Driveline and Custom Exhaust in Shingle Springs. Ken and Theresa Short, owners of ADCO Driveline and Custom Exhaust have been long time supporters of Placerville
Speedway through the years, sponsoring numerous drivers and awarding various bonus funds for special events over the past season.
In 2013, ADCO joins with Placerville Speedway for what is expected to be an action packed season in local auto racing. With an economy that's slowly on the rise and newly formed sponsorships such as that with ADCO, a stellar action packed schedule and many new and returning drivers anxious to hit the track, promoter Alan Handy is excited for the year to come which also includes added events for young fans,improved concession menu items and a great family friendly venue as the track celebrates its 48th year of continued operation.
"I couldn't be more excited for a season of racing as I am for this season," said Handy. "I think we have a great schedule, great divisions and with new sponsorships in the community such as this fast time sponsorship from ADCO. Ken has been helping the track for a long time now and we're excited to have him on board for the new fast time award."
For every championship event of the season, the fast qualifier in the winged sprint car division will received a $100 monetary bonus from ADCO Driveline at the end of the night. The sponsorship awards the drivers who gives it their all during time trials each week with an added incentive and puts ADCO and their services before the eyes and ears of thousands of race fans that attend Placerville Speedway each Saturday night in addition to the thousands that visit the
placervillespeedway.com every day.
ADCO Driveline and Custom Exhaust is located at 4211 Sunset Lane in Shingle Springs and is an authorized dealer of Flowmaster Mufflers and Magnaflow Performance Exhaust, two manufacturers utilized by race teams in various divisions. Short worked for the local business for five years before purchasing it in 2006 and building it into one of the areas more reputable repair and fabrication locations in the area.
In addition to sponsoringthe weekly fast time award, ADCO is sponsoring numerous drivers at Placerville Speedway this season including sprint car drivers James Sweeney and CJ Humphreys along with Jake Morgan and Andy Gregg to name a few. They assist a number of drivers in the stock car divisions throughout the season as well with exhaust, driveline, brakes and welding needs as they arise.
Placerville Speedwaywelcomes ADCO Driveline as its newest member of sponsorship for the 2013 racing season. They join a long list of contributors to the championship season with is presented in part by Red Hawk Casino, Hoosier Racing Tires, Coors Light, Thompson Auto Centers and the Mountain Democrat.
Associate sponsors and partners for 2013 include Riebe's Auto Parts, Minute Man Press, The Paint Spot,Food 4 Less of Cameron Park, Carls Jr. Restaraunts and Doug Veerkamp General Engineering who aides with equipment needs when they arise.
Local media partners for2013 include The Mountain Democrat Life Newspapers Group, The Windfall,Foothill 7 Television, Adventure Magazine and the Georgetown Gazette.
The Fast and Furious Dirt Track Racing Championship campaign will begin on Saturday night, April 6th for 360 cubic inch powered sprint cars, Limited Late Models and Pure Stocks. Drivers will be able to test and tune their equipment on Saturday evening, March 30th at the El Dorado County fairgrounds in a non-competition event.
