Allard and Murphy qualified front row for the 35 lap feature to decide the 2012/2013 NZ Sprintcar Championship. Allard had been chasing an engine issue all night, despite this he had the wood on Murphy leading comfortably from the flag until deep into the race but it all ended in tears on lap 33 when his engine cried enough. Murphy was ecstatic to take the win but by his own admission had nothing for Allard in the latter stages and was merely picking up the pieces. An emotional night for Allard as he was hellbent on the win for his family as he flies out Monday for a memorial service in the States for his brother.

A former driver (Murphy) and the present driver (Allard) of the WILLIAMS MOTORSPORTS #0 car. I'm happy for Peter. I understand he will not be going over to Aussie land to race but is coming home. Good luck to both.

Both are class acts. It's been a pleasure watching them both over the past 16-17 years. Hopefully they'll both be racing with the KWS again this year, if they release a schedule! lol, jk Gary.

I believe I read the KWS schedule is coming out Sunday....or was that last Sunday?

Yeah, i just checked their site and it says Sunday night, Jan. 6th. :)
