I know that Brooke did not want to leave his family for an extended Australian season as they have done in the past. His daughter started school this year, so the family could not spend that much time away. I was actually surprised to hear he was going over for the month. My guess is Krikke wanted someone for the whole season and did not feel able to put an additional car together for Brooke for the one month. TK should be a pretty good fit. Looks like there may be some history between Brooke and the Caunt family going back a number of years. I'm not sure if they were involved in helping him put the 1AU on the track here this past summer, but he did get quite a bit of help from various folks in AU.

The pressure for him to go back to race in Australia would obviously be tremendous, given his talent and popularity and then there is his late father's popularity and fame. And the relatives.
Lawlessness + liberalism = HELL - NYC, Detroit, Chicago,
Seattle, LA Who the H runs those cities.

He's probably over there digging out. We got dumped on, been snowing since last night in Forest Lake, over a foot and temps are diving tonight with wind kicking up. School will be a 2 hour late start at the least and possibly closed for the day tomorrow.

No kidding. We got over a foot here in the northwest corner of the Twin Cities as well. Still coming down, but very light now. Thank goodness my snow thrower started right up and ran well! Should only have two or three inches to get out of the driveway in the morning. Wish I could stay home, but got my weekly Dr. appt. to get to. At least I don't have to fight rush hour. That should be a real treat in the morning.

I had read on his website that he was heading down ozzie land to drive for some guy that bought all his stuff, but he said he isnt now. He must have just told the guy he would so he would buy his equipment or something.

I think we set the record here in Forest Lake at 16". I ran into Brooke at a friend's 50th and he told me he's heading down there after the holidays. We had a massive jam session going so I was more focused on guitar playing than racing and the exact date slipped my mind. Could have been on account the Coors Lite my son was feeding me between songs. That night goes down on record as a complete role reversal. We were entertaining the Sprint Car drivers instead of the other way around. ;)
