Was watching a Motorsport Video my wife bought me for Christmas last night about Steve Kinser 1986-1997 (all PA area tracks and races he won).

What do you know, the first race was a 50 lapper @ Hagerstown and the announcer stated before they even took the green "don't forget folks about the fuel stop scheduled for lap 25".

I thought these fuel stops didn't start happening until the last few years :)

The biggest thing I noticed though was they all had the BIG Fuel Tanks back then and they still couldn't run 50 lap races, I thought this was just a recent development the way everyone complains on the message boards....

Fuel stop for a 50 lapper on a half mile, understandable. Fuel stop for 25 or 30 lapper, ridiculous!!
