I'm trying to add the 2012 Track & Series Championships to my big book of "California Sprintcar Stats. Can you guys fill in the blanks?
Winged Sprint Cars (1-2, 410. 3-8, 360)
- King of the West: Jonathan Allard
- Chico: Sean Becker
- Civil War: Andy Forsberg
- Watsonville: Shane Golobic
- Petaluma: Chase Johnson
- Placerville: Andy Forsbreg
- Marysville: Billy Wallace
- Hanford: D.J. Netto
Calistoga: Jeff Griffin (all Sprintcar races combined, woo, kws,sw,usac.)
Nonwing Sprintcars
CRA: Mike Spencer
USAC West Coast 360's: Bud Kaeding.
Ventura: Kyle Smith
Parris Auto Speedway
USAC Western Classics: Tony Hunt
I didn't add the spec sprints because it is a beginner series, but they do race everywhere.

I'm glad to see Chase Johnson pick up the title. I met him at Watsonville last season. He and his whole crew were great down to earth people. Chase has a bright future in sprintcars. With the right sponser, he could get a good 410 ot two and run with the big boys, with no problem.

Calistoga still has the open 360 race this weekend, so that title will come down to if tk races.
USAC Western Classics
Dirt - Tony Hunt
Paved - Brian McClish
Overall - Tony Hunt
USAC CRA Sprints - Mike Spencer

I think Spec Sprints are worhty of recording, and NOT beginner classes, I am sure you have noticed many of the drivers whom have been racing for a very long time? With Sparky Howard, Shank, and even drivers like Ensign, and many of the drivers at Ocean Speedway, they are quickly becoming vetrans in this field. I am also concerned about the constant developement of this so called Beginner class. No longer slap the old Jalopy together and go racing. I think drysump motors, expensive starter/pumps systems, and roller cams are getting away from what this class was meant to be, and thus is working towards a field of drivers whom are going to be lifers in this great class. It will be harder for the guy to move up from a 4 banger, and be able to compete without spending lots of money. And then the line between some of these "Spec" sprints and USAC 360 non win cars is getting much finer.
