WEST COAST “SPECIAL EVENT” SATURDAY AT CANYON
USAC’s West Coast Sprint Car Series enters a pair of special “non-points events the next two weekends, beginning with this Saturday’s “Brawl For It All” at Canyon Speedway Park in Peoria, Ariz. The "non-points" status also applies to the September 29 “John Jewett Memorial Billet Cup" at the Santa Maria (Calif.) Speedway.
Bud Kaeding continues to lead USAC’s West Coast Sprint Series standings, with the final points race slated October 13 at Kings Speedway in Hanford, Calif.
Kaeding’s 10 starts so far this year have produced three wins and three seconds. Points runner-up Ryan Bernal has three wins, a second and two thirds in just eight starts. Third-ranking Markus Niemela has a third and three fourths in his 10 starts.
