thinking of going to Canton, Il for MOWA show on sept. 15th. How have the car counts been for the MOWA shows? 2 1/2 hour drive for me, so I would like to know before I go that far.

It's tough to promise car counts, especially this time of year as guys wallets start to get wore out, but typically we have somewhere between 25-30 cars at most of our shows. The POWRi Midges race at Spoon River the same night and it should be a great open wheel show.

This is now a MOWA sponsored event, but it's actually called the Tom Knowles Memorial, and has been around for a long time. They say Canton, IL but it's quite a little ways from Canton at The Spoon River Speedway. Pretty high banked and very racey joint. Haven't been for a few years but plan to make the trip this year. MOWA said expect 25-30 cars, but the thing I always found with the Tom Knowles Memorial is you just never know who is going to show up. (and I mean that in a good way) I would expect a few Knoxville regulars to show up and maybe some IRA guys plus the MOWA regulars. If memory serves me they don't serve beer there, but I think I saw on their homepage you can carry in a small cooler. I would check before you go.

IRA has a race scheduled in Wisconsin that night so I wouldn't bank on any of them.

This is probably a stupid question, but I went on The Spoon River Speedway website and there is no mention that I can find of sprints there on the 15th, just says midgets, late models and modifieds. I know the MOWA schedule says they are gonna be there, but just wanted to make sure, they are running sprints at the Tom Knowles Memorial this year aren't they?
