Just curious if anyone has had any racers running locally the new non downtube Maxim that Kears Speed Shop had on their display at the Nationals? First I had seen of this frame.

If I understood Shirley correctly, it was a custom build for a 305 customer.

Maxim has made a non-down tube car in the past. I believe Kinser ran one a few times.

I saw on the Schnee Chassis website they have a non-downtube chassis also.

Where did Kears Speed Shop have their display set up at the Nationals? I missed it.

If your looking for an innovative chassis builder look to Brian Schnee. He's the reason this car was built for the 305 customer. Schnee chassis rock and they're built by Brian himself. He's the only one really getting creative.
