Michael Tarter Successful in Return to Sprint Cars
After some years taking a break from the sprint car circuit, Michael Tarter has successfully stepped into the seat of the RCM Designs, Budget Landscaping, Chico Muffler, #35 mount. Stepping in for his late brother, David Tarter, there was definitely a strong motivation to do whatever was needed to keep this team going and they haven’t disappointed.
Since taking over the seat, Tarter has scored himself a trio of top ten finishes at the famed Silver Dollar Speedway. Follow that up with a Heat race victory at Marysville Raceway Park in his first outing there, all add up to a successful return to the sport he and his family love and cherish.
“We feel pretty good,” says Tarter” We just want to keep it going so we can have our heads up high for next year.”
With 360 motor issues as of late, the team will be turning laps with the 410 mount aboard the 7-up Distribution, Chico Motorsports, Kevin Sharrah Designs sponsored #35 car.
The next race on tap for the Tarter Racing Team brings them back home to Chico, California’s infamous Silver Dollar Speedway August 10th 2012 for the Hot August Wings night, hosting both 360 and 410 sprints for the night.
The entire Tarter Racing Team would like to thank all the friends, family and fans that have helped through the difficult times following David Tarter’s tragic death. The support and love has been overwhelming, and they couldn’t be on the track without it.
Sponsors definitely help keep the car driving left every week, so big thanks go out to all of the #35 car’s sponsors that make every race possible, Budget Landscaping, RCM Design, Dave’s Chico Muffler, 7up Distribution of chico, Russell's Automotive Repair, My Media Guy, Norcal Motorcycle Repair, California Classics Auto Body, Chico Motorsports, North State Auto Parts, Chris Kenner Racing, SRP, VSR Steering Repair, Kevin Sharrah Designs, Platinum Powder Coating. Thank you again to all who help the Tarter Racing Team at the track every week.
