Don't know why anyone in the area would automatically head to Knoxville on the weekend before speedweek. This always happens, folks show up to tune up. Toby was going to get it in despite rain threatening since all those racers had come to play. My biggest worry at the start of the season was that Toby would mess up "my" racetrack. He's done a great job, making the 360 Nationals a true 360 show is a good thing, the 410 show on Sunday is another good idea. Let's hope mother nature cooperates during speedweek

Toby has done an awesome job all year long. On top of the things that you mentioned, he has made a noticeable difference in getting the show on the road and not having lots of downtime. There were some nights this year that we were getting out to the parking lot just after 9:35 (which I can't remember happening before) and that is awesome when you have a two hour drive home ahead of you. The Fairboard made the right choice in hiring Toby.

We are about 2 1/2 hours away but got tied up trying to get brakes changed, trailer plug wired and hitch set up on son in laws truck in preparation for the Nationals. Time just got away. I saw on the streaming video that the crowg looked a little thin

I think attendance looked about the same as a regular night. The weather may have kept some people away who live further away. Some may have taken the night off too just resting for 10 nights to come. I thought the race was great and glad I came.
