What year did a WoO 1 day purse increase from 5000 to 10,000 to win?

Someone has to remember this, I know it happened in the 1990's pre '98 anyone know the exact year WoO shows went from 5K to 10K to win?

It wasn't a single jump from $5000 to $10000. There were years of $6000, 7000, and 8000 to win in between. Haven't looked to see the exact years--maybe when I get a little free time. But it took several years to make the jump to doubling the winner's share.

P.S.--It didn't happen until at least 2000--I know it still paid $8000 to win in 1999.
