Im surprised Tony Stewart hasnt entered it. I can't believe with as many races as he's run this year he would sit this one out
More weight, more regulation, more similarity in the
cars.... that will ensure plenty of thrills for years
to come. Only the most average talent behind the
wheel will be needed with such awesome equipment on
the track!

Does anyone know if Robert Bell plans to run nationals? I saw his name in the results a few times this summer. Would be terrific to see him back at the nationals.

Looks like they put just about every Posse car Thursday. Likely out of respect for travel. Looks like more top WoO hitters are Wednesday. Knoxville Regs split pretty equal both nights. Thursday looks like tougher night from a depth standpoint so points will be harder. My guess is that of the top 16 locked into Saturday A will be 9 from Wednesday, 7 from Thursday.
Wednesday Locks: Dollansky, Saldana, S. Kinser, Schatz, K. Madsen, Heskin, Stewart, Henderson, I. Madsen
Thursday Locks: Swindell, Lasoski, Dobmeier, Brown, McCarl, Zomer, Maeschen

I would pick Sweet, Larson, McMahan, A. McCarl, and Jeffrey over Henderson on Wednesday..Also, on Thursday I would pick Shaffer, Kinser, Meyers, Pittman, W. Johnson, J. Johnson. over Lasoski, McCarl, and Dobmeier...but it is who stays out of trouble! I just don't see how if you can't win on a weekly night at Knoxville, you expect some of these guys to make the A of Nationals. Dobmeier surprised me last year and I loved it...however, I haven't seen much this year. McCarl just isn't fast enough. Zomer usually qualifies well, but I dont see this as his year. Maeschen has been crazy fast the last two weeks, so I think he makes it.
Here is my 16
Wednesday Night: Schatz, Dollansky, Stewart, K. Madsen, Saldana, Heskin, S. Kinser, Sweet, Larson
Thursday Night: Swindell, Brown, W. Johnson, Maeschen, K. Kinser, Meyers, Shaffer
Walker, Pittman, and Darrah could out point Sweet, Larson, and Maeschen...I just went with who I would like to see the most. I also see Sheldon Haud running very well and securing a spot on Friday.
I love this time of year. Can't wait to see who surprises, and who gets caught up in a crash to shake things up.

Dont sleep on Cap Henry last year was his first time at the track and got better on Friday night and he has also look very good lately. He also has been qualifying well which is major major help. Qualify well keep your nose clean in the heat start up front in the B if you dont pass anyone start in the middle of the A and BOOM! Locked into Saturday night.

If you don't pass anyone in your prelim A, I don't think you'll be locked into the A on Saturday night.
With only 16 spots up for grabs on prelim nights, I think you have to run top 10 minimum on your Prelim night (in addition to a good time trial and heat race) to have a chance at the top 16 in points.
Cap did look good last year, I wouldn't count out Danny Holtgraver or Bryan Sebetto either, they both run good IMO.

I've read the format on K-ville website, but don't quite get it... Will Friday be for points, or do just A-Main top 4 winners qualify? How do they fill B, C, D Mains Saturday?

Stewart has long said he is not ready to race in the Nationals. Plus his NASCAR obligations keep him very busy and the Sprint Cup race that weekend is in Pocono. He's lucky he gets here 1 or 2 nights to see Schatz and Kinser drive. Would love to see it someday!

Thanks, Chilly. I was confused last year too but it eventually made sense by Saturday! Only one more question (for now)... from your explanation it sounds like the points everybody except top 16 earned on Wed & Th. don't mean anything... is that true?

Up to 95 entries for the 410s, with still a few probables not in.
103 entries for the 360s.
