Charlotte, NC: The Carolina RaceSaver Sprint
Series travels to the Friendship Speedway this Saturday (July 21st) for
another round of action packed racing featuring the winged sprint cars.
The series is coming off two weeks of racing excitement. At the I-77
Speedway in South Carolina, Ray Evernham survived a late race challenge
by Virginia Beach’s Scott Davis to collect the win. Jake McLain
picked up his 2nd win of the year last week at the East Lincoln Speedway
after the team thrashed to nearly rebuild the front end of his car
after hard contact with the concrete after the dash. These drivers
will be joined by others including Mike Leraas, Gary Troutman and Johnny
Petrozelle and more when the series hits the 4/10 mile dirt at
Friendship Speedway in Elkin, NC.
Grandstands open at 4pm with general admission just $10 while the
pits admission is $25. For more information on the race itself,
please visit the track’s website at http://friendshipspeedway.net
or call them at 336-835-7223. More information on the series can be
found online at www.carolinasprints.com. For those using your GPS to
locate the action set your address to 11420 NC 268 Elkin, NC 28621. We
hope to see you out for another great evening of family entertainment.
And for those arriving early, we invite you to stop by our display car
before the race to grab your pictures and talk candidly with the driver.
