Amsoil USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series
FREE SANTA MARIA HOTEL ROOM FRIDAY FOR USAC/CRA TEAM WITH LONGEST TOW

SANTA MARIA, CA – JUNE 11, 2012… Amsoil USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series Director Chris Kearns has announced an offer of three free hotel rooms to the team / driver with the farthest tow to this week's Watsonville and Santa Maria shows. To be eligible, the USAC/CRA car owner and driver must have a USAC membership and commit to running both shows. Each room will be available Friday night at Santa Maria and is a $129 value. Interested teams must contact Kearns no later than Thursday morning at [email protected].
Mike Spencer, the 4-time champion, leads the USAC/CRA point chase and will battle a talented roster of drivers including Nic Faas, Matt Mitchell, Austin Williams, Brody Roa, Ryan Bernal, "The Ripper" Rip Williams, Seth Wilson, "The Kruser" Cory Kruseman, "Cadillac" Cody Williams, and many more.
The event is also a point race for the USAC Western Classic Racing Series. Heading into Friday's show, Shauna Hogg leads the point chase followed by Tony Hunt, Brian McClish, Gordon Rodgers, Tom Baker, Cody Gerhardt, Tim Skoglund, Scott Pierovich, Marvin Mitchell, and Ryan Bernal. McClish won last Saturday's "Pombo Classic" at Madera and other features have gone to Bernal and Hunt.
Ocean Speedway is located on the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds in Watsonville, California at 2601 E. Lake Avenue. The USAC/CRA and USAC WCRS Sprints will be joined by Ford Focus Midgets, Junior Ford Focus Midgets, Micro 600s, and Modifieds. Santa Maria Speedway is located 1/4-mile north of the 101/166 interchange at 1900 Hutton Road in Nipomo, California. The event also feature the will feature a $1,000 Winner-Take-All Sprint Car Wheelie Contest, the Richie McGowan Hobby Stocks, Toste Construction Mini Stocks, and Okie Bowl Hardtops The Pit Gate will open at 2:00pm, Front Gates open at 4:00pm, Time Trials at 5:00pm, with Racing to begin at 6:00pm.
