With May coming to a close, The Keizer Wheels 66 Mike Phillips Memorial is less than two months away. Come July 18th-21st, Southern Illinois Raceway will be packed with POWRi 600cc Winged Outlaw Micro Sprints, drivers, crews, families, and fans alike, gathered to race for or witness racing for the highest micro sprint purse in the world. New to support The 66 this year is Hollingsworth Performance Engines! Located out of Brownsburg, IN, Hollingsworth Performance has been building winning micro sprint engines since 1994 and is your one-stop shop for all of your engine, carb, wiring, fuel delivery, chain/sprocket, and exhaust needs. They have powered many cars and drivers into victory lane all across the US and Australia, even taking home the 2010 POWRi Micro Sprint Points Championship. Check them out at http://www.HollingsworthPerformance.com or give Luis or Sam a call at 765-427-0478.

Joining the ranks once again for The Keizer Wheels 66 is the 2011 runner-up and POWRi Micro Sprint Champion of Evansville, IN, Trent Beckinger! Last year could likely be defined as the most successful season ever for Beckinger, bringing home a total of 4 feature wins with POWRi in Brownstown, Macon, and Lincoln, IL as well as Springfield, MO. Trent also ran top 5 in all but two of the 2011 POWRi events, including the two second place finishes at The 66 last year in both the prelim and finale features, never finishing out of the top 10 with them all season. This year, he has every intention of returning to The 66 to claim the $10,000 prize after getting a taste of it in 2011, leading a majority of the 40 lap main event.
