The Food Bank of El Dorado County is planning the iunaugural "Race for Hunger 2012" at Placerville Speedway on August 25 at the EL Dorado County Fairgrounds. Planning is underway at this time and they are seeking donors for raffle prizes, sponsors and interested people who would like to be on a planning committee to work on the many ways this event can be a huge success to raise funds for El Dorado County's largest collaborative charity. The Food Bank of El Dorado County is El Dorado County's largest collaboritve charity that provides emergency food assistance to more than 10,000 invidividuals each month in communities throughout El Dorado County through its Emergency Food Assistance Network. This event will ultimately raise funds to continue assistance to the areas most at risk senior citizens, children and families.
