BERNAL LEADS WC SPRINTS BACK TO SANTA MARIA MAY 5;
RAIN POSTPONES SANTA MARIA’S “RON OTTO MEMORIAL”
The USAC West Coast Sprints will try again May 5 to present the “Ron Otto Memorial” at Santa Maria (Calif.) Speedway and Ryan Bernal of Hollister, Calif. will lead the series back to the third-mile dirt oval.
Heavy rains early in the week forced postponement of the event last Saturday night.
Bernal leads two USAC series after winning last Friday’s Western Classic Sprint opener at Watsonville, Calif.
