Sooo i am so so bummed that the races were cancelled on saturday! I didnt start raining until after the races were over. BUT! I do have to give credit to the crew at Silver Dollar and the WOO. Last night went. . . . Rough. But they got the show done. They prepped for rain that never came. Not really their fault. Blame Mother Nature. Just like today. Personally as a fan it sucked that they cancelled bu...t i could see as a driver that has a long drive ahead of them they dont want to hear last minute that its cancelled some of these guys would just as soon take the night off and go get ready for next week. Although Friday the racing wasnt great and tonight was cancelled. Silver Dollar Speedway is and always will be my home track and my favorite track to attend on a weekly basis. A lot of people prolly disagree but thats your decision. I have seen some of the greatest races ever on this track. We also have like the best announcer on the west coast if not in the US announcing weekly, Troy Hennig. I grew up wishing i could either be a driver or be like Troy. During my toy car races i always said, "Some one is going to be a hero tonight!" at the start. So for all of you with bad stuff to say about the track; save it. Dont let one weekend ruin it. When you have been going there 20 years and had the experiences that this track offers you will understand there are going to be rough nights and there are going to be great nights. Thank You Silver Dollar Speedway for all that you do for our community and the sport we love.

First of all when was the last time you have seen the Chico track that bad? The first set of hot laps they were throwing up clouds of dust in turns 3 and 4 and I knew we were in for a bad night of racing. It was not supposed to rain friday so dont say they prepped it for rain that night, the rain was supposed to come on saturday which never happened either. I do agree with you about Troy he is one of the best announcers in Cali. Just a awful weekend in Chico!!

There were threats of rain all week in Chico. The weather was changing faster than anyone could even keep up with. And it is not their fault that the rain that was supposed to come in stopped in one spot all day just outside of Chico.
