that is the pitts...literally. 4pm here in chico and no raindrops as of yet. i never buy two nights in advance for this very reason. just save myself a hundred bones..
Ascot was the greatest of all time..
West Capital wasn't half bad either..

Went down for this event three years ago and both nights were cancelled and it never rained once. SDS used to be my favorite track. Thank God for Kokomo and Gas City.

Here I am 7 miles southwest of the race track brewing beer all day and I can't believe it's not raining. So I pop in every now and then to check the radar and I see this cell pretty much stuck on the I-5 corridor and somehow it's not moving. So about 6:00 I figure "hell it's still not raining I bet they are up there hustling the show to get it in" then I check the message board and find this post and think "really?". I'm pretty sure it's going to rain and that it would rain out but they didn't even try? Definitely at "WTF?" moment. Of course I wasn't going but I thought they owed it to the ones that might be hoping for a better show than last night. By not going last night I figure I'm up at least $80 and saved myself an immeasurable amount of aggravation. Not sure who is to blame the WoO or SDS management for the issues last night but it could have been sunny skies, a perfect race track, and a huge car count there was no way I was paying what they wanted to get in that joint. I will go to SDS this year but I won't do WoO anywhere until they raise the quality of their product to a level that justifies their admission price.
