USAC/CRA PURSE RETURNS TO PREVIOUS LEVELS IN 2012
$25 ENTRY FEE IN EFFECT FOR TRANSPONDER RENTALS

SANTA MARIA, CA – FEBRUARY 24, 2012… Officials with the Amsoil USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series have confirmed that the purse for regular USAC/CRA point shows in 2012 have returned to previous levels. USAC/CRA races will pay $2500-to-win and $300-to-start the main events. The purse does not include preliminary races or final nights of special events like the Perris Oval Nationals, Canyon's Hall of Fame Classic, etc.
The amount of main event starters will depend on the car count. Twenty (20) cars will start the feature if car count is 27 or less. Twenty-Two (22) cars will start the main event if car count is 28 or more.
In addition, USAC/CRA will charge a $25 entry fee to all competitors in 2012. This fee will include transponder rentals.
The Amsoil USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series will kickoff their 2012 campaign this Saturday, February 25th, at Perris Auto Speedway. Joining the traditional 410 cubic-inch powered machines will be the winged California Lightning Sprints and popular PAS Senior 360 Sprint Cars. The spectator gates for the "Sokola Shootout" will open at 5:00pm, with racing at "America's Premier Dirt Track" to begin at 7:00pm.
Perris Auto Speedway is located on the Lake Perris Fairgrounds in Perris, California. Adult tickets are $25, Senior tickets (65 and over) are $20, and $5 for Children (6-12). For more information, please visit www.perrisautospeedway.com or call (951) 940-0134.
