I see MOWA has a few dates on there line up for Jacksonville. I had heard that they wasn't going to open this year.

You will notice the inclusion of Jacksonville Speedway on the schedules of a few series that will be released over coming days and weeks. A group of local individuals is actively working to bring a limited schedule of special events to Jacksonville Speedway in 2012. The details are still in the planning stages and there is a tremendous amount of work to be done prior to releasing a full schedule or information on what classes will be running on which nights.
We have waited through the fall and early winter hoping that someone would step forward with an interest and capability of operating the track in 2012. In the absence of any other interested parties and the deadline for inclusion on schedules approaching, we recognized if Jacksonville Speedway was to have any racing in 2012 that the commitment needed to be made now.
A core group of individuals has made that commitment for a select and limited number of events. Exactly who will be involved or the details on how it will be accomplished will be resolved in the coming weeks and months and we hope to bring additional parties into the mix.
We cannot yet predict how extensive the schedule will become and apologize that we cannot yet give area racers guidance on classes, nights and rules for 2012.
