Kaeding Set For Friday Night Chili Bowl Prelim

Kaeding Set For Friday Night Chili Bowl Prelim

PETERSEN MEDIA- Campbell, CA driver, Bud Kaeding will make his 2012 debut behind the wheel of his BZE No.2 during the Friday Night preliminary night at the 26th annual Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Midget Nationals at the QuickTrip Center in Tulsa, OK.

In his most recent action, Kaeding claimed a third place finish during the non-winged portion of the Kronik Energy Western World Championships back in November.

Now, Kaeding will take his BZE entry, and race the prestigious event out of the Keith Kunz Motorsports camp along with Kyle Larson, Rico Abreu, Jason Leffler and David Gravel.

The Kunz team has been one of the most potent midget teams in all of 2011 with primary driver, Kyle Larson, picking up huge wins during the year and ending with a third place USAC National points finish in the midget division.

“Keith is a sharp guy, and always puts strong cars on the track,” said Kaeding. “The car I’m in is owned by BZE, but Kunz and his guys will take care of it, and I couldn’t be more thankful.”

Kaeding was in action last year, where he came up a little short from the Saturday night feature event as he scored an 8th place finish in one of the twin-B mains.

“The best thing about this race is being able to race against the best drivers across the world from guys who compete in various NASCAR events, to guys who run midgets all year long,” explained Kaeding. “Last year we made the B, so I’m definitely hoping we can get over the hump and make the show this year.”

Bud Kaeding would like to thank Kaeding Performance, Sprint Car Innovations, Alviso Rock, BZE, Factory Kahne Shocks, Racing Optics, K&N Filters, Yak Graphics, ButerBuilt, and Brown and Miller for their continued support in 2011.

ON TAP: Bud will hit the dirt in the QuickTrip Center on Friday, January 13th.
