MEDIA: As the calendar switched from 2011 to 2012, drivers all around
the world were continuing to utilize Factory Kahne shocks to pick up
wins, as Jason Meyers and Heath Duinkerkan picked up wins in Australia
and at the Tulsa Shootout respectively.
With all eyes turned to Tulsa, Oklahoma for the Tulsa Shootout, and
the upcoming Chili Bowl Midget Nationals, Heath Duinkerkan and his
teammate, Michael Faccinto swept the top two position in the Outlaw
Micro Sprint division, which is the highest division at the prestigious
event.
As Duinkerkan was out front leading all but three of the 30-laps,
Faccinto charged his way up from the ninth spot to follow his teammate
across the stripe, as the duo had Factory Kahne 3.1 Base Valve shocks
bolted to their cars- in only his second time utilizing his shock
package, Faccinto backed up his previous outing nicely, which was a race
he won.
Though he had a dominant year in California, Dominic Scelzi was the
third and final competitor utilizing FK shocks, and made the final show
with 141 entrants and scored a 19th place finish.
"We are all very happy with how the development of our micro sprint
shock packages, as they continue to pick up feature wins.," said Willie
Kahne. "We've spent the year developing them with Gary Scelzi and his
two sons and they are very pleased with the results they've had."
During a double feature in Australia on New Years Day, 2011 World of
Outlaw Champion kept to his winning ways as he swept the event with his
FK shocks, and opened 2012 much like he ended 2011.
