I am in process of fixing up a vintage sprint and for simplicity, I want to run a carb and gasoline. The trouble I'm having is a stock chevy pump won't clear my front motorplate and its mounting tabs allowing it to bolt on the block. If the bowl was lower, it would clear. Is there a pump out on the market for this application? Perhaps there is someone in a sprint series that runs a carb and has experienced a similar situation? thanks

Do a search for "Race Pumps", Howard Stewrt makes them, plenty of people use them in race applications, should work perfectly for you. They bolt into stock mount and are narrow enough to clear front motorplate.
