Congrats to Jerry Richert.....looks like if he doesn't have any bad luck in the remaining races he will be the champ.....hopefully the weather holds out for Elko....October can be very unpredictable.....

The rookie of the year points are tied? Very exciting...what happens if Elko doesn't run? i think the logical thing would be to use the overall points standings as a tie breaker?

It was a great year at the races and i cant wait until next year! Winter sucks.

IF the weather were to nix the Elko weekend (advance outlook is halfway decent right now), then Anna Kouba and Chad Patterson would end up being co-rookies of the year for 2011. It is the only fair way to do it, since both drivers met the 12 race minimum to qualify for the award and have used their top 12 feature races finish points. I am hoping we can race both nights at Elko. In doing so, we should be able to break the tie. Also, Kevin Bradwell has a slight chance to overtake Kouba and Patterson, but a lot of things would have to go in his favor. It should be an interesting final two nights to the UMSS season at Elko this weekend, especially in the rookie points battle.

Advance forecast for Elko, Friday windy and 51/35, Saturday 53/38. I'm done for the year but I hope for the best for everyone. That's not the most favorable forecast and they took it on the chin with the weather for the spring race. No moisture this time but wind Friday and cold both nights sounds like the kind of situation that could make a promoter nervous.

As of Tuesday the advance forecast has improved to 57/41 Friday and 60/45 Saturday. Should be no problem getting this one in now. Have a great time down there. ;)
