I have contacted my website host and as soon as we figure out how to do it, we are going to have a page to where people can post old races on track history here in the state of Oklahoma. It will not be a forum but it will either be something you can email me to post or something to where you can post your stories or anything else Oklahoma history wise.

Tom McAlister has already said he is more than happy to do that and I would hope that Galen and Spivey and J.D. and J.D. and all you others would be more than happy to do that too.

You would also be able to post track only pictures where people could get an idea on what the tracks looked like way back when. This is NOT going to be a picture only page, Warren Vincent already has that and it is the best there ever is, was or will be.

Like I said, are you interested? Vote and let us know.

I am enjoying the old track history thread a lot. I know the new page, if you decide to do it, will be a lot of work but that it will be fun to read.

I also think that this history with pictures and so on published in paperback form would be popular (I know... dream on...). Either way, I know this would be a lot of work but very much appreciated by racers and fans like myself. This is as much a part of Oklahoma history as anything, IMHO. Thanks to all of you who post the old stories... that history is a treasure.

Yes tekboy, that is why a page is in the works. People would be able to post their stories and knowledge, it would then notify me to look it over and when/if approved would then be posted permamently for all to read. There would be a title of sorts so you can find what topic your looking for. No off-topic replies just great reading from our racing history in this state that can be easily found, unlike what happens when you post on a forum and it gets lost after different posts.

It might be titled something like "Oklahoma Racing Tidbits from the Past".

Again I want to stress that this will be mainly stories with a few pictures added to help tell a story. Warren has the best in "Racing from the Past" and that will never, EVER be topped.

Yes Warren has the best. Long live his site! I do however welcome the idea of a Tidbits From The Past Page. WARREN, THANK YOU FOR AN AWESOME PAGE. I have to go there when I need a fix.

I am only in my 30's and I have a few stories that I could tell of times at the tracks lol.

Oklahoma Racing History needs to be an elective subject in all Oklahoma Vo-Tech Schools. And a required subject for any student seeking a career in the Motorsports Industry.

Indiana has state and local school funding and tax incentives for Motorsports education and for businesses moving into Indiana related to the motorsports industry. Of course their governor Mitch Daniels owns and rides a Harley Davidson and is in tune with the motorsports industry in Indiana.

Perhaps we need to find a motorsports friendly candidate to be elected Governor.

Where are they now? I am looking for Jimmy Reece's family. Anyone know what happened to them?

Oklahoma track history would be great. There are sooooooo many of us.That are in longtime racing families that would enjoy sharing pics and telling stories.I know Im pretty proud of my families racing acomplishments.Im sure everyone else out there is too..No telling how many racing pictures are sitting around collecting dust.I myself totally enjoy looking at the pictures.Whether I know them or not.Ive also posted some pics on the Racing from the past forum.

David -- it's a great idea. It would probably require some work, but it will be well worth it.
